Mass Intentions

The 2027 Mass Intentions book will open on Monday, June 8.

If you are interested in any of these intentions, please come to the parish office, Monday through Friday for dates and payments.

Dates are on a first come-first serve basis.

You may also call the parish office at 908-534-2319 to request an intention.

Brothers and sisters, when I was at my former parish, we had such great difficulty in trying to obtain Mass intentions. Sometimes, our weekly calendar was only filled with one intention. It is amazing that here at Our Lady of Lourdes, we have a surplus of intentions. Thank you so very much for your faith witness. Please know that our intention protocol is that one individual may provide two intentions. However, another loved one our family member may also provide two intentions as well. Know of my prayers of thanksgiving for your witness of faith, especial to our beloved dead who we pray are protected under St. Mary’s Heavenly Mantle. - Father Jay

Mass Intentions - Offering Mass for a special intention is a long-standing tradition in the Catholic Church. Masses are offered for many reasons: for the souls in Purgatory, in remembrance for someone who is deceased, or in honor of a birthday or special anniversary. If you would like to have a Mass said for someone, please contact the parish office for help with available dates and times. Cards are given to you as a keepsake or to send to whomever you choose so they may also participate in the Mass. The stipend or offering given, signifies the sacrificial nature of giving of something of yourself to associate more intimately with Christ who offers Himself in the Eucharist.

Mass intentions are $10.00 per Mass request and you may select two Masses.

Tabernacle Lamp - It is a pious tradition for the faithful to sponsor the replenishing of the tabernacle lamp, which in our parish happens on a weekly basis. This is usually done so for an intention - in honor of/in memory of or for the health and blessings of a loved one. We publish this intention in our weekly bulletin and you receive a card for yourself or to share with a loved one. The tabernacle lamp is $15.
