What is Youth Ministry?
Youth ministry provides an array of events for our teens and pre-teens.
Group activities are planned together with input from the youth of our parish.
There are two different age groups:
Junior Youth Group – Grades 5 – 8
Senior Youth Group - Grades 9 – 12
There are 3 parts to this ministry– social, service and spiritual.
Social – the youth come together with their friends to do activities that
they enjoy. We have gone bowling, played laser tag, had movie night or just stayed in and played games in the youth room.
Service – The youth come together and provide service to the parish community, the local community and even the world community.
Our youth participate at Mass as music ministers, by altar serving, by lecturing. They present the teen stations on Good Friday. They provide and serve food at the Shepherds meal. They sort and pack food for Starfish.
Spiritual – Prayer, reflection and relevance of church in the“real” world by participating in youth mass together, attending a retreat or participating in a Mission trip.
