FROM THE DESK OF FR. LEN

During our Evening of Welcome one of our parishioners extols the praises of faithful stewardship.  What does this mean?  Awareness that OLL is not just a place one comes to visit once a week but instead a home, a place of solitude, a support at all times.  Part of stewardship is an understanding that the institution does not run simply on the grace of God; financial support is an important part of ownership.  Could you imagine not taking care of your home, expecting the grace of God to keep it sound?  This is why I encourage you to follow the model presented at the Evening of Welcome.  Utilizing your collection envelope or a check helps to assist OLL in ministering to our flock.  Soon we will introduce a new method of contributing to our church.  The program involves direct deposit contributions from either your checking account or charge card to OLL.  Keep an eye out for further information. Remember our First Communicants in your prayers this week as we celebrate the first two of our four communions.
